One of the most wonderful creations of human hands, a place that attracts millions of people from all over the world every year - the majestic and beautiful Taj Mahal - is truly a true symbol of India. It is located in Agra (India) near the Jumna River. It is considered a crime if you visited India and did not see the Taj Mahal mosque.
The Taj Mahal means the Crown of the Mughals. For some time it was also called the Taj Bibi-Kak-Rauza or the burial place of the queen of hearts
To describe the magnificence and beauty of this mosque with words is simply impossible. This is truly a fabulous and beautiful architectural structure that combines elements of Islamic, Persian and Indian architectural style.
The emergence of the Taj Mahal is a story of the tender love of Shah Jahan, the king of the Great Mughals for his wife Mumtaz Mahal. As a prince, Shah Jahan married a 19-year-old girl, and his love for her was boundless. In spite of the possession of a big harem, he gave all his tenderness and attention only to Mumtaz alone. She bore him 14 children, six girls and eight boys. But during the last birth Jahan's wife died. The grief of Shah Jahan was so great that he lost the meaning of life, turned gray, declared a 2-year mourning, and even wanted to commit suicide.
The Taj Mahal is a palace of white marble, one of the most ambitious monuments of Indian architecture with elegant interior and stunning beauty park. This is the last gift of the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to his late wife Mumtaz Mahal, as well as the main and most popular attraction in the country, which is visited annually by thousands of tourists.
