Visit the Chand Baori, one of the most beautiful stairwells in the world. Located in the village of Abhaneri near Jaipur, it was built during the 7th century by King Chand of Abhaneri and is one of the deepest and most extensive in all of India. This well was built to collect the monsoon rains. There are about 3500 steps and is almost 30 meters deep. It has been structured to guarantee people easy access to water, but its architectural aspect is truly impressive.
