Havelock Island - one of the islands of the Andaman archipelago in the Indian Ocean. It is located 57 km to the north-east of the capital Port Blair. The area is 92 square kilometers.
This is one of the few places where the government of Andaman and Nicobar Island encourages the development of tourism, with an emphasis on the development of eco-tourism.
There are excellent white beaches (the most popular of them are Vijayanagar and Radhanagar), crystal clear water and stunning coral reefs. Numerous marine life includes dolphins, turtles and very large fish.
Havelock is an ideal place for exploring the life of marine life. All hotels organize trips by boat to snorkeling (snorkeling). Dive clubs on Havelock are three, in all part of the instructors - Europeans. The equipment is decent and new.
Only one third of the island is inhabited. In the forests you can see elephants.
